Hunting Dogs like Golden retrievers and Labradors are highly intelligent,easily trainable and make excellent companions.

The best of home defenders is a dog,whether you are concerned about a house fire in the middle of the night or an armed burgler, the best
tool for your safety and security at home is a dog. The work 24 hours,7 days a week and ask only for your praise and a bowl fo meaty chow.

The best of trackers and searchers is a dog.
Whether it's detecting drugs smuggled in luggage,explosives,contraband food items,lost children or hikers buried in avalanches,fleeing suspects nothing beats
a dog for sniffing out what you want to find.

The utility of dogs is unquestionable,the blessing that Allah awj has put in them is immense.
Not using dogs in a society to their full capacity of the animals is ingratitude to Allah awj.

some one told me

I make it a requirement of my Mother that if wants to stay living in the city She MUST own a guard dog as perverts and scum come from all corners of the earth with sick fantasies of white women.
I often walk the dogs for her and it gives me a good oppurtunity to see peoples reactions to the dogs. My Mom lives in a multiethnic area(The Hood as we call it) that is very high in crime

She had for many years an enormous Black Lab X Pyrennese that provided her with round the clock safety and security from evil hearted men. That Dog died a couple years ago and all she had was a smaller collie dog that was only good for small game hunting and had no aggression towards men so I insisted she get another guard dog. I found her a very nice Rottweiler X Great Pyrennese she named smokey and raised from a tiny puppy. He is already 80 ponds and has lots of growing to do inshaAllah.

Alhamdulillah,that Dog is now almost a year old and becoming an excellent protector. He is gentle with my Moms cats,the neighbor ladies small children,other dogs and women but is very aggressive towards strange men and highly confrontational towards them. He is working out very,very well alhamdulillah.

Dogs are a HUGE blessing from Allah awj
